In this conversation, Robert and Eileen talk about private Alexander Technique lessons and group classes. At one point, Robert mentions that the first group class was taught by F. M. Alexander himself in 1896 in Melbourne, Australia. You can learn more about that in his "Autobiographical Sketch" in Articles and Lectures - Articles, Published letters and Lectures on the F. M. Alexander Technique, page 240, published by Moritz in 1995. There is also a reference to the late Marjorie Barstow, the teacher who brought group teaching into prominence in America in the 1970s and the many YouTube videos of her, which you can access at her website.
